Welcome back to my website.  I'm constantly updating this page ~ please check back often.  You know, I feel I owe you the truth ~ as shocking as it may be.  So now, I must tell you the real story of my marriage to Bert Pierce.  It's not an easy tale to tell, and it doesn't reflect well on me.
My time at home was precious to me, but there were problems.  Bert didn't work steadily, and the bills piled up.  Our home wasn't a happy one.  Unfortunately, I succumbed to temptation!  Yes....I must confess that I was unfaithful!  I'm so ashamed....so humiliated.  I have no defense, but I figured I may as well own up to it ~ now ~ before this incriminating photo shows up on youtube.com!
I don't even know what to say.  I just hope that somewhere, somehow,
there is understanding and yes ~ perhaps, even forgiveness?

God help me, what kind of woman and Mother have I been?

Is THIS why Veda is a conniving tramp?

  Is it MY fault?
Shockingly, our tawdry assignations occurred at Monte's beachhouse!  Oh Lord, the shame is killing me, but I have to
admit the truth.  Even when Monte Beragon was just a casual friend of Wally Fay's, we used that connection to secure a rendezvous at his seaside vacation home.......
Are my own love crimes & misdemeanors, the reason I can relate to my readers problems?
Dear Mildred,
I need your help.  I lost my husband about a year ago, and I just can't get over it.  I'm so lonely and I've even taken to "visiting" an old man who lives 2 doors down.  It's so humiliating.  I hope and pray the neighbors don't find out or they will tell everyone in town what's going on.  What can I do?
Signed, Lonely in Louisville

Dear Lonely,
The first thing you need to do is make sure no one finds out about this.  Hook up with someone your own age, but, in the meantime, help yourself to the old man's wallet each visit - after all, you have bills that must be paid.  He owes it to you!
Good Luck, Mildred Pierce
I couldn't believe it when I saw the cold, calculating side of my daughter....did my sins make her that way?
How to be a Drama Queen

First, you must find your inner Drama Queen!  This is the most important step, where you realize and absord the fact that you are fascinating.  Accept it, own it, and live it.  Until you do, you cannot proceed to step two.

Two, learn to carry yourself like you're receiving a "Best Actess" Oscar!  Naturally, you will always be the center of attention, so you must enjoy being stared at and emulated.  Carry yourself, shoulders back, head high and with a dazzling smile as you meet your public.  You're a star!

Three, your look must scream your star status to the world.  Your hair, nails, and outfit must be coordinated, fashionable, and in good repair.  A stunning hairstyle and impeccable manicure are things that will enhance your look - work on your wardrobe regularly, and keep your garments in good repair - you owe it to your public!

Four, you must be unique!  Don't be a pale imitation - be your own woman.  There's no one else like you.....

Five, walk like a STAR!  Practice as though you were moving down a catwalk - all eyes will be on you!
There are some things a girl should know....!

Our divorce couldn't have been easy for Veda, but dammit, Bert Pierce was a dud!  He didn't work half the time, and the other half, we barely got by.  If not for Wally Fay's "gifts," I shudder to think what would've happened to us.  And Bert knew about it!  He knew, and didn't care.....all that mattered to Bert was his free time, and being able to play around.  He was disgusting!  He sickened me ~ that's the real reason I turned to another man.  Most people didn't even know about my affair.  I kept it quiet, but I did enjoy it immensely.  For once, I felt like a real woman.....it was wrong ~ shockingly wrong, but I was desperate to feel whole again, after living with a cardboard cutout of a man like Bert!
Dear Mildred,
I'm so ashamed to have to admit this, but I'm a MARRIED WOMAN with a crush on another man!
I terrorize him regularly....my shame knows no bounds, as I call his house at all hours of the night.  I can't believe I have SUNK SO LOW!
Mildred, what is your best advice?
Signed, Love-Struck

Dear Love-Struck,
Why you silly old twit!  Wake up and smell the coffee!  Get with your husband and figure out why you married him in the first place.  You silly old cow.  Now, STFU and move on with your life!
Sincerely, Mildred Pierce
